Occupational Contact Dermatitis

Occupational contact dermatitis is a common skin condition caused by substances that come into contact with the skin at work. The hands are usually affected.

Prevention of occupational contact dermatitis is one area of occupational health and safety (OH&S) which, until recently, has not received significant attention in Australia despite the frequency. However, this condition can considerably affect an individual’s work situation and their quality of life, and can be severe enough for workers to have to give up their chosen career. But this condition is preventable, and the RASH program tells you just how to do that.
